Northeast Nebraska Biodiesel, LLC (NNB) was founded in 2006 with the vision of meeting the increasing demand for renewable energy, specifically biodiesel. NNB’s main objective is to become one of the leading producers of biodiesel in the state of Nebraska. To accomplish this, NNB has built a state-of-the-art biodiesel facility in Scribner, NE capable of producing five million gallons of biodiesel per year.
The biodiesel plant was built on property adjacent to the newly acquired Nebraska Soybean Processing Facility. All soybean oil processed in the crush plant will be used in the refinery and biodiesel process. NNB currently purchases additional soybean oil to obtain approximately 80-90% of the remaining crude soy oil for the facility.
